Education

Chris joined the firm in 2010 after having practiced with other local defense firms for several years doing insurance defense and insurance coverage litigation. In addition to the state licenses he holds, Chris is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri, United States District Court for the District of Kansas and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and he has practiced before all of those courts. His practice concentrates on insurance coverage opinions and litigation, bodily injury defense litigation, products liability defense litigation and defense of professional liability claims and lawsuits relating to insurance agents and brokers. Published opinions include Bediako v. Stein Mart, Inc., 354 F.3d 835 (8th Cir. 2004) and Christensen v. Farmers Insurance Co., Inc., 307 S.W.3d 654 (Mo. App. 2010). Outside the office Chris enjoys spending time with his family, attending his children’s soccer matches, bicycling and competing in amateur competitive bicycle racing. Chris has represented dozens of insurance companies in complex coverage matters including defense against claims alleging bad faith. He has also litigated and mediated hundreds of matters over the years on behalf of many clients and has always focused on achieving the most efficient resolution of matters for clients with the least possible expense.
