Chris’ practice focuses on aggressively defending and advocating for his clients through all stages of litigation. He routinely represents individuals and businesses facing claims of negligence, professional malpractice, breach of contract, and wrongful death. Chris also has experience handling business and real estate transactions. Prior to joining the firm, Chris had a general practice in Manhattan, Kansas where he gained invaluable litigation experience and assisted clients with complex transactional matters.
Originally from Colby, Kansas, Chris’ journey to becoming a lawyer started with a simple round of golf with his grandparents’ neighbor who happened to be a lawyer in rural Missouri. Chris obtained his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and his law degree from Washburn University. While at Washburn, Chris served as Editor-in-Chief of the Washburn Law Journal.
In addition to being a legal “Jack-of-all-trades,” Chris is a proud Girl Dad to his daughters, Clara and Ada, and husband to his wife Stephanie. Chris has a passion for fly fishing poorly and playing golf.
Fun Facts:
Prior to going to law school, Chris worked as a server and bartender in the Kansas City Power & Light District.
Chris’ lowest round of golf for 18 holes is 67.
Chris is an avid reader of Presidential biographies with his favorite being “Truman” by David McCullough.
Chris is color blind.
